ROBIN VAN PERSIE PROFILE

Robin van Persie is one of the best Arsenal's strikers. He is a top-scorer  in the 2011-2012's season Premier League with 30 goals, and became Arsenal's 8th all-time top scorer with 132 goals. He is also the captain, after Cesc Fabregas return to Barcelona at 2011. But, on 4 July 2012, Van Persie announced that he would not be signing a new contract with Arsenal. He then moved to Manchester United.


Van Persie’s quality is not in doubt. He is an expert goal-taker and goal-maker with a penchant for free-kicks. That description fitted another of Arsenal’s famous Dutchmen and it was no surprise when the 27-year-old took Dennis Bergkamp’s No 10 shirt when it became available this season.

At times, injury has hampered his contribution but Van Persie is experienced, tenacious and passionate.


Now, he is a captain to Netherland's national team.
