LAURENT KOSCIELNY

Laurent Koscielny was born in Tulle (France) at 10 September 1985. He is a French footballer with Polish decent. The defender signed for Arsenal in the summer of 2010 after a meteoric rise through French football.

Koscielny was handed the club's No. 6 shirt, previously worn by Phillipe Senderos, a Switzerland centre-back who moved to Fulham earlier in the summer.

Laurent is a quick-thinking centre back who reads the game exceptionally well and can turn defense into attack in an instant. He is comfortable in possession, loves to bring the ball out from the back and is already settling in fast alongside Thomas Vermaelen.

Although born in France, the uncapped defender would also qualify to represent the Poland national team as a result of his family roots.

Koscielny made his debut against Barnet in a pre-season friendly in July 2010. And in his debut in European competition on 15 September 2010, he partnered Sebastien Squillaci to defeat SC Braga 6-0 at Emirates Stadium

Koscielny choice to play for French national team than Poland. He was called up to the French team for friendly match versus Brazil on 9 February 2011.
 
On 6 August 2019, Koscielny signed for French Ligue 1 club Bordeaux in a deal rumored to be worth £4,600,000, after nine years with Arsenal.*
