Jack Andrew Garry Wilshere
Skilful, strong, inventive and versatile, Jack is one of the most exciting young talents in the English game. He is a product of Arsenal academy, as a midfielder for club football and England internationally.
He joined Arsenal in 2001 as a nine-year-old and has enjoyed a meteoric rise ever since. By 16 he had made his Reserve team debut and he became Arsenal's youngest ever League player when he came on at Blackburn in September 2008 aged 16 years and 256 days.
Jack gained experience on loan at Bolton last season and, after impressing at the Emirates Cup, he was handed his senior England debut against Hungary in August.
Jack's target now is to force his way into the first-team on a regular basis. He certainly has the ability to become a major star at Emirates Stadium.
Jack Wilshere was under the age of 21 on January 1, 2010 and therefore it was not necessary to name him in Arsenal's official Premier League squad.
